The Ancient Treasures of Atlantis

Kamyana Baba (“Stone Grandmother”) is awakening!

Let’s begin a journey to investigate the ancient archeological sites and the magnificent treasures of our Motherland. We shall begin with one of the oldest known and most mysterious sacred sites in this area, Kamyana Mohyla. There are many ancient tales of wonder, magic and powerful energy fields surrounding these stones. Kamyana Mohyla is a spiritual center of planetary significance. The Dalai Lama stood on this ancient sacred ground, proclaiming that this ancient area “emits positive energy.”

Kamyana Mohyla, also known as the Rock Mound presently rests in an awkward heap of large stones along the western shore of the Sea of Azov, near modern Melitopol, Ukraine. This sacred site protects an ancient encyclopedia gifted to us from our ancestors. The stones of Kamyana Mohyla are covered with petroglyphs, etched by our ancestors; recording their lives, triumphs and catastrophes for thousands of years. The Kamyana Mohyla carvings are likely the oldest of their kind in the world. Exactly how old these etchings, by ancient artisans, are is unknown; they are certainly more than 9,000 years old and evidence supports that these stones reveal more than 20 millennia of the sagas of our Human tribe. These stones reveal the tragedy of a great ancient flood. This flood may be the first recorded history of the Great Atlantis Flood. This site is the only place in the world where prehistoric humans carved out pictures of mammoths, horses, hands and feet, then outlined them in black upon these rocks.

Standing in front of these ancients stones are many female stone idols called kamyana baba or Stone Grandmother and two large wheels made of rock. Perhaps the beginnings of civilization are recorded, in this pile of rocks surrounded by fine sand emitting the smell of the sea. Fortunately, Borys Mykhailov, a dedicated sentinel, has been the guardian of these sacred stones, protecting them from the rampant looting and vandalism that has plagued many of the other sacred sites of our beloved ancestors. These stones will remain preserved by the earth and hidden by sand until Mykhailov can find a safe way for them to be viewed by the public. “We’re now proposing the government make this a national preserve,” Mykhailov said in an interview with Natalia Feduschak, explaining the need for a larger budget to help preserve the site.

Only one third of the sacred stones, of this ancient temple by the sea, have been viewed in our modern times. Projects are being formulated to gently lift the giant stones, one by one, then carefully document the petroglyphs and tenderly replace into them into position, just as they have rested by the seashore for many millennia. We look forward with excited delight to the forthcoming unveiling of the information that, as yet, remains hidden within the secret recesses of, Kamyana Mohyla, which rests under the loving guardianship of Kamyana Baba, Stone Grandmother. As Stone Grandmother awakens, she is revealing a treasure trove of the history of our beautiful Blue Planet tribe.

11-10-2005 17:47 "President (of Ukraine) participates in ceremony to open primitive art museum at Kamyana Mohyla State History and Archeology Reserve. Talking about importance of preservation and advertising of the museum, Yushchenko called it the unique human object, to which paths from all continents have been trampled down. He also stressed the necessity to grant the Kamyana Mohyla State History and Archeology Reserve the National Reserve status. The Kamyana Mohyla State History and Archeology Reserve is located near Village of Terpinnia in Melitopol district, Zaporizhzhia region. It is a unique heritage of the ancient history and culture." NRCU

11/08/2006, the government of Ukraine nominated the site for inscription on the World Heritage List.

"The central part of this property presents a mound like hill of 12 m in height and 2,5 ha in area. It is known under the name of "Stone Tomb". This mound is made up of individual somatic sandstone clods or blocks, with a great number of caves and grottoes between them. On the grottoes' stone walls; there are over 1000 petroglyphs with symbolic, anthropomorphic and zoomorphic images. The oldest of them - a mammoth - without any doubt could be referred to the Late Stone Age. ... On the whole, the Stone Tomb images represent traces of religious exercises of the hunters and cattle-breeders of this steppe zone of southeast Europe from the 20th c. B.C. to the 17th c. A.D. ... So we have all the grounds to consider the Stone Tomb one of the oldest megalithic temples of the world which had been functioning many thousand years."

We will add updates regarding the exciting new discoveries at Kamyana Mohyla and the "ancient Stone Library" as new information becomes available.

Archeological Treasures from the Cradle of Civilization

Ukraine is already considered the cradle of civilization by many scholars, especially in European and eastern counties. Our western culture is typically not very familiar with this ancient land. If Atlantis actually sank into the Sea of Azov in 9,600 BC, there should be artifacts that date to times preceding this catastrophic event. Let’s investigate some ancient treasured artifacts from Ukraine, reported by Andrew Gregorovich, on his webpage Ancient Inventions of Ukraine.

"... there were a great number of elephants in the island;" ~The Dialogues by Plato

The Mezhirich Mammoth Tusk Map is considered by some to be the oldest map in the world. This pictograph map is engraved on a mammoth tusk from Mezhirich, Ukraine. This ivory engraving is dated to between 12,000 and 11,000 BC. Some say this map is possibly a drawing of dwellings beside a river. Upon close examination, another interpretation is that it depicts a city wall with the stones falling out and the ground fracturing, possibly from an earthquake.  The zigzag lines could depict the slip faults and fractures in the ground, or roads or canals. Evidence of a long history of seismic activity in this area has been documented. Does this map record a geologic event that preceded the devastating earthquake that destroyed the City of Atlantis?

"In the interior of the temple the roof was of ivory, ..." ~The Dialogues by Plato

The Dialogues by Plato state that elephants were used in large numbers in Atlantis and that ivory was used extensively in construction. The oldest currently known house in the world is a Mammoth Bone Hut, discovered near Kiev, Ukraine which has been dated at 15,000 years old. A village of five houses, from 13-21 feet across, built from the mammoth bones and ivory, was found by a farmer in 1965. The largest house used the bones of almost 100 mammoths. Such houses were used by "tribal leaders" (James/Thorpe). By 20,000 BC, mammoths had been driven out of the fertile farmlands and lived just north of the plain. Camps of hunters and trappers were established to feed the needs of the burgeoning empire. The ice-age hunters killed adult mammoths for thier meat, hides, bones and ivory; and trapped the young mammoths to send to the city for training in the construction trade. They also supplied supplied all sorts of wild game, skins and hides to the City of Atlantis.

A Mammoth Bone Bracelet dates back to 20,000 BC. The intricate design has been passed down through many cultures and is still a common design used in embroidery, fabrics and traditional egg decorating in modern Ukraine.

A Map on a Silver Vase from Maikop, Ukraine. This map is believed to have been created about 3,000 BC. This ancient silversmith’s rendition seems to speak, “I am a map of Atlantis.” The designs are reminiscent of the circular ditch, sheltering mountains to the north, a harbor to the south, abundant flora and fauna; these are striking similarities to the description of Island of Atlantis.

Introduction to the Trypillians and the ancient land of Aratta,

descendents of the survivors of the Great Atlantis Flood.

Petro Vlasenko Trypillia Museum. GDFL.

Bird GoddessThousands of years before Sumer was founded and millennia before the first stones of the pyramids of Egypt were hewn, the culture called the Trypillians were building their cities in the land of Aratta, north of the Black Sea. These ancient peaceful farmers and artisans had a culture that was strikingly similar to the culture of Atlantis. They built circular cities, worshiped the bull, and had predominately red, white and black art motifs. They built astronomical observatories and had hieroglyphic writing.

Dr. Yuri Shilov, a charismatic and dedicated Ukrainian scientist, has compiled an enormous body of work regarding Aratta and the archeology of Ukraine. Dr. Shilov has published many intriguing books and articles, shedding new light on the early history of Ukraine. He and three other colleagues have founded the museum Arrata-Ukraine near the city of Kyiv.

Traveling the ancient path of Aratta. Has the time for Ancient Wisdom arrived? Leading Ukrainian scientists, archaeologist Dr. Yuri Shilov and theoretical physicist Dr Volodymyr Krasnoholovets, invited representatives of the Ouroboros Trust to travel through the ancient archeological sites of the Dniepr River valley exploring the cultures of Aratta, from which the Sumerian culture in Mesopotamia, Vedic culture in India and many other civilizations may have been born. They visited stone circles constructed on the same principles as the Neolithic circles of Britain. Some of the sacred sites they visited, Dr. Shilov has dated back an estimated 20,000 years. At that time the magnificent Island of Atlantis would have still been a thriving empire, before disappearing beneath the Sea of Azov, in 9,600 BC.

The Aryans' Earliest Myths, by Dr. Yuri Shilov, makes an intriguing account of archaeological findings in the steppes north of Sea of Asov and the Black Sea during the 1970s-1990s. "Excavating burial mounds dating to the 4th—2ndmillennia B.C., archaeologists found observatories, calendars, shrines and enormous figures fashioned as humanlike and astral deities. All this taken together made it possible to "decipher" the myths of Ukrainian tumuli. These myths turned out to be very close to those recorded in the Indo-Aryan Rid-Veda. This Fact corroborated the linguistic conception that the Aryans and their beliefs had originally come from the lower Dnieper area in Ukraine." We eagerly await the English translation of this vitally important historical work.

Treasures from the Land of the Sons of Heracles;

Golden Treasures of the Scythians

The Scythians loved gold! They possessed vast amounts of gold; having golden clothing and horse tacking, jewelry and utensils. How these ancient nomadic horsemen became highly skilled artistic goldsmiths is a hotly debated question. Some say that the Scythians learned their craft from the Greeks, and some say the Greeks learned from the Scythians. The Scythian legends say that they found the gold laying on the ground, assuming that it must have fallen from the sky.

The look of bright shiny gold nuggets, exposed after a gully-washer, glints in the sunlight as though they were just placed on the river bank from a fine jewelers work bench. If golden treasurers from a long gone era were exposed by rains, they would look as beautiful as they had appeared when they were freshly made. It’s easy to imagine that a passing nomadic horseman might imagine these treasures must have fallen from the sky. We believe that these ancient horsemen inherited many ancient artifacts of Atlantis. Perhaps, they took these treasures for their own and began to tinker and alter them to suit their needs and slowly their talent developed and they began to create their own artistic styles and designs. By close re-examination of the great amount of ancient Scythian treasures, some original Atlantean treasures may be discovered.

According to Herodotus, the Greeks who dwelt around the Pontus (Black Sea) believed that Heracles came to the region that would become known as Scythia, long before Greek colonization began. During a storm, Heracles loosed his horses from his chariot, wrapped himself in his lion skins and fell asleep. When he awoke, his horses had wondered away. He went in search of his missing steeds and came into woodland, where he found a cave. Within the cave he met a strange being; from the waist up she was a woman, but from the waist down she was a snake. (possibly a reference to a hermaphrodite). Heracles asked her if she had seen his horses. She replied that she had them in her possession and she would return them, if he took her for his mistress. Heracles agreed to her terms and soon she carried three sons of Heracles within her womb.

As Heracles prepared to leave, the snake-woman inquired of him; shall I keep our three sons in my land or send them to you? Heracles gave her his bow and his girdle, with a golden goblet attached. He told her that the first son who could bend his bow and could gird his girdle should be king of her land; the others should be sent away to found new kingdoms. It was the powerful youngest son of Heracles, Scythes, who managed to accomplish these Herculean feats. He became King, and in honor of him, the land was called Scythia. Thus all Scythians were believed, by the Greeks, to be the descendants of Heracles.

The Scythian version of their founding is somewhat different; according to Herodotus, the Scythians say the land of Scythia was without inhabitants when Targitaus; a child of Jove (Zeus) and a daughter of the Borysthenes (Dnipro, river god), arrived in this land. He then begat three sons. One day a plough, a yoke, a battle-axe, and a drinking cup, all made of gold, fell from the sky. When the two eldest sons tried to touch these golden objects, the gold burst into flame. Only the youngest son, Colaxais, could touch the golden treasures. Thus he was made king of the land and his older brothers, Agathrysus and Gelonus, left and founded their own kingdoms. Agathrysus founded the Kingdom of Agathyri and Gelonus founded his kingdom in the province of Budini. The Histories, by Herodotus, Book IV, 5-10). There were many tribes of Scythians which spread over a vast territory. Herodotus reports that according to the Scythians themselves, they were the youngest of all nations. According to their own account, the Scythians arrived in the area north of the Black Sea about 1,450 BC.

Treasures of the Island of Atlantis,

unearthed from our Motherland, from shores of the Sea of Azov

Troves of sacred treasures from our Motherland have been excavated, looted, melted down and exported to exotic ports all around the world, for approximately 9,000 years. After the inundation of Atlantis, this area was sparely inhabited for several thousand years. Wandering tribes began returning to their long ago mythical homeland. Surely they wondered if an island so magnificent as their ancestors had described on their sacred golden tablets could really exist. What did they find beyond the shoals of mud left by the waves of the tsunami?

Have some of the treasures of Atlantis already been found? Have they been excavated and transported to museums and private collections around the world? It is likely that some of the golden treasures found at Kerch and around the Sea of Azov, were created by the artisans of Atlantis. If ancient artwork by those who were revered as the mythological “old unanimous ones” of Atlantis was found and adapted by the nomadic horsemen of the Eurasian steppes, the ancient relics of Atlantis and the newest styles could have been found in the same excavations. By close re-examination of these treasures, we can determine if some of them may actually have been created by our ancient Atlantean ancestors.

Sacred treasures have been excavated from the tombs of ancient Amazon women warriors, and Scythian kings and princesses; who possessed a love for beautiful golden ornamentation; golden horse harnesses and girdles, bracelets and swords sleeves of gold, and gemstones, like carnelian and turquoise. A full cover of a saddle, constructed of thousands of gold bracelets, was excavated from beneath a previously plundered tomb near the city of Azov. A golden case for arrows and other treasures were excavated from the Necropolis of the Five Brothers, near Rostov-na-Donu, located at the northern tip of the Sea of Azov.

The famous myth of the battle between Heracles and the Amazons, tell of the victory of Heracles over the women warriors, with help of the famous female warrioress, the goddess, Athene. The content of these ancient burial mounds have yielded supportive evidence to these ancient myths. Princesses and queens were buried with their luxurious golden garments, combs, amulets and weapons.

For thousands of years, these ancient treasures have been exported from our Motherland.

Thor Heyerdahl searched for the homeland of Norse God Odin

in the Sea of Azov area

There are numerous migration paths, up the many rivers and across the sea, leading out of our Motherland; our ancestors began migrations shortly after the founding of Atlantis. Freedom seekers who had no mind for the city life and military control of the citizenry, fueled by an adventurous spirit to discover unknown lands, departed our Motherland and spread civilization around our precious Mother Earth.

In 2001, Thor Heyerdahl launched his last expedition, Jakten pa Odin, The search for Odin, with an expedition north of the Black Sea. He and Per Lillestrom believed it could be possible to find academic evidence that the Scandinavian Vikings’ forefathers wandered to Scandinavia from the area near the Sea of Azov and the Don River. Thor Heyerdahl visited the Museum in Azov, Russia, where he was searching for evidence that the Norse god Odin from the Snorre sagas actually was a real person, a king, who wondered with his army from Azov to Sweden. Information from AFTENPOSTEN, News of Norway, published: 18 Apr 2002.

The natural beauty of our Motherland

Now after our visit to long ago history, lets return to the present, relax, and enjoy some of the natural beauty and energy of this area by viewing a few of photos of Crimea, Ukraine. These links open pictures of Shallow’s Nest, now a restaurant, the sacred magical white mountains (white-stone peaks, no snow) of Ai-Petri and the famous landmark, Noviy Svet, (notice how the land dips to the north, showing the subduction zone at the Sea of Azov), north of the Black Sea, where the Island of Atlantis “disappeared beneath the Sea.”
